Description

This personal project stemmed from my fascination with the kidneys, their complex structures, and the various roles they play in maintaining homeostasis. I was particularly intrigued by how renal diseases can abruptly affect multiple organ systems.

Research & Ideation

Initially, I dedicated substantial time to researching different types of nephrotic syndromes. To maintain focus and depth, I decided to concentrate on a single condition: minimal change disease, rather than providing an overarching narrative of all related disorders.

Once comfortable with the material, I proceeded to create rough sketches and explore various layouts. Through multiple iterations and revisions, I developed a layout that effectively highlights the multiple organ systems affected by an initially injured podocyte.

This approach resulted in a cohesive and scientifically accurate representation of minimal change disease, balancing visual appeal with educational value.
